"I don't train people to look like fighters. I train them to be fighters. There's a difference — and you feel it the first time someone puts real pressure on you."

Coach Maddox "Madman" Aparicio
Maddox didn't find martial arts — he was forged by it. Starting at age 10 in a cramped Jiu Jitsu gym in the San Fernando Valley, he spent the next 11 years competing across disciplines, earning titles, absorbing losses, and learning what it actually takes to build a complete fighter.
After a 3 year amateur Jiu Jitsu career spanning 38 fights, Maddox transitioned to full-time coaching with one goal: give serious athletes the same high-level, no-nonsense training he had to piece together himself over decades.
His coaching philosophy is simple — fundamentals win fights. Footwork, timing, pressure, and mental toughness are drilled before anything flashy. Every session is built around making you harder to beat, not just better at looking good on the mats.
Madman MMA Training has produced regional champions, professional debutants, and everyday athletes who simply wanted to get tougher. The gym doesn't care about your background — only your commitment.

Training philosophy
HARD WORK IS THE ONLY SHORTCUT.
Fundamentals First
Every elite fighter is elite at the basics. We drill entries, exits, and transitions until they're automatic under pressure.
Pressure Testing
Technique only counts if it holds when things get hard. Controlled sparring and live drilling are built into every program.
Individual Development
No two fighters are the same. We identify your strengths and build a game around them — not a cookie-cutter system.
Mental Toughness
The physical is the easy part. We train the mind to stay calm, stay sharp, and keep executing when the body wants to quit.
